How to Make a QR Code for Contact Details
A contact QR code can spare someone from typing a phone number. It is useful on a printed card or a slide, but it should contain only information you want anyone with the code to read.
EverythingDeck’s QR Code Generator has a Contact card type. It encodes a vCard with a name, phone number, and email address. It does not currently have fields for a company, postal address, photo, or social accounts.
Make the code
- Open the QR Code Generator and choose Contact card under QR code type.
- Enter the name and any phone or email details you want to share.
- Select Generate QR code and check the preview.
- Download PNG for a simple image or SVG for print layouts that need clean scaling.
- Scan the downloaded file with a second phone. Check how its contact app displays the name and contact details before printing or sending it.
The QR content is plain text in a standard contact-card format, not encryption. A scanner can read those details without visiting EverythingDeck. Generation happens locally in your browser, but once you share the QR image, anyone who sees it can scan it.
